| Adjust Font Socket employees volunteer at the Ronald McDonald HouseColumbia, Mo.- A troupe of Socket employees will be volunteering their time to deep-clean the Ronald McDonald House from 9 am until 12 pm Saturday, August 4, at 1001 East Stadium Boulevard in Columbia. "Unfortunately, childhood illnesses and injures don't take summer vacations," said Melody Bezenek, executive director of the Ronald McDonald House. With so many summer activities vying for volunteer service from our community, this is the time of year when we have a great need. We are thrilled that Socket employees are dedicating their time to make our families stay more comfortable. Thousands of families come to Columbia each year for specialized treatment that may not yet be available in their home communities. Their stress is lessened by Ronald McDonald House Charities due in large part to the support it receives from generous donors and volunteers. "Our employees want to do meaningful work in their communities that will make a real difference in people's lives," said Carson Coffman, co-owner of Socket. For that reason, its easy to find a team of volunteers here at Socket who are more than willing to lend a helping hand. What we get out of it is the knowledge that our work will make life a little bit easier for those families who are facing a serious health crisis.
